Turaco tree tops is a phenomenal lodge with stunning views over the snowcapped Rwenzori Mountains located at the edge of Kibale forest national park, this lodge is perched at the top of the hill providing breathtaking views of Kibale forest which is home to the chimpanzees and 12 other primate species, the lodge has fantastic Lounge with great views to enjoy coffee, tea and drinks before or after chimpanzee trekking experience.

Turaco Treetops has 8 luxury cottages situated at secluded locations in the jungle. The cottages are spacious, with large windows and outside wooden decks, providing splendid views over Kibale Forest and 8 standard rooms to the lodge. The rooms are located in 4 duplex buildings that are located on 2 sites in the forest and provide excellent value for money.

Turaco tree tops is located a few kilometers from the Bigodi trading center at the edge of the mighty Kibale forest national park, the lodge has exceptional views of the forest and the mountains of the moon.

How to get to Turaco treetops

By road Kibale is approximately a 6-7 hour drive from Kampala or Entebbe, the road connects to Fort portal via Mubende and Kyenjonjo Fort portal and from fort portal its about 32 km to the lodge on a tarmac road.

By air, the lodge can be accessed by flying into Kasese airstrip which is approximately 3 hours drive via Rwimi and the explosive craters however we recommend using off-road 4×4 safari vehicles while using this road.
