Papaya lake lodge is a spectacular nature-friendly lodge surrounded by the lush, evergreen landscapes of the Great Crater Lakes region, set between two extinct volcanoes, nestled against the turquoise waters of the Lyantonde and Kifuruka lakes and with exhilarating views over the majestic Ruwenzori Mountain Range.

Papaya Lake Lodge Room Capacity

Papaya Lake Lodge offers nine spacious and bright cottages. All are situated on the extinct volcano crater’s slope and have breathtaking views of Lyantonde Lake. Each cottage offers complete privacy, hidden from view by a natural screen of green treetops.

Eight of the cottages feature two beds (one king-size and one single), local stone-decorated bathrooms with shower units, and verandas equipped with deckchairs.

Papaya lake lodge is located between Lake Lyantonde and Kifuruka about 27 km from fort portal town on the foothills of the mighty Rwenzori Mountains.

How to get to Papaya Lake Lodge

Papaya lake lodge is Located between Lyantonde and Kifuruka crater lakes, by road clients have to get to fort portal town which is a 6-7 hours drive from Kampala or Entebbe on arrival at fort portal you will take Fort portal Kamwenge road for about 7-8 km after passing Kiko town you will start looking on your right and you will see the signpost for papaya lake lodge and follow that road until you see the crater lake and the lodge after you will take a right turn and follow the signs.

By air the nearest airstrip is in Kasese which is about 2 hours drive to Ndali lodge via Rwimi town, there are daily scheduled and charter flights from Entebbe to Kasese.
