No experience is always compared to coming face to face with the mountain gorillas, 1 one may seem so little for some travellers and our Double trek gorilla safari will give you great opportunity to trek two families of Mountain gorillas on two separate days in Uganda’s Bwindi impenetrable national park, the habituated mountain gorilla families live freely in the rainforest and travellers will get two different experiences during their two treks.
There is no doubt that, when you talk to most people, the subject of safari occurs most often when thinking about a honeymoon. Due to the increased costs involved, as well as the time that it takes to fly around Tanzania, it makes sense that almost 60% of visitors that come are on a luxury Tanzania honeymoon package. Detailed safari itinerary
Day 1: Domestic flight from Entebbe to Bwindi impenetrable national park
After morning breakfast at your lodge our guide will receive you and transfer you to Entebbe international airport for your flight to Bwindi forest, upon arrival you will be received and transferred to Queen Elizabeth national park for a short game drive in search of wildlife like leopard, lions, elephants, Uganda Kob, buffalo, Top, Warthog and Hippos after the short drive you will enjoy hot lunch and later transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: First gorilla trekking experience
After morning breakfast with packed lunch and full dressed in trekking gear, your guide will transfer you to the park station to meet the gorilla rangers who will lead you on foot to the rainforest, gorilla trekking is described as one of the greatest wildlife encounters in Africa and this is truly undisputed as coming face to face with this giant primate is one of the greatest highlights of your travel to Uganda, this trek will take maybe 2-8 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family and you will spend 1 hour with the gorillas and later return to the lodge for relaxation.
Day 3: Second gorilla trekking in Bwindi and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After an early morning breakfast you will check out and drive to Eastern Bwindi for your second gorilla trekking experience, the eastern part is two hours away from the North and lies in high altitude, upon arrival you will meet with the rangers for a briefing and then head out in to the forest for the trek upon locating the gorillas you will spend 1 hour with them and later return to the park and start your scenic drive to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation.
Day 4: Drive to Lake Mburo national park
After Lazily morning breakfast you will start your drive to Lake Mburo national park, this is one of the best places in Uganda for walking safaris, upon arrival you will check in to the lodge and later head to the park for a walking safari with armed rangers on this walk you will expect to encounter impalas, warthogs, Elands, Giraffes, Topi, Zebras and many bird species and later return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.
Day 5: Drive back to Entebbe for your scheduled flight
Depending on your flight schedule you will depart Lake Mburo national park for Entebbe via the Equator, you will have chance to shop for crafts before heading to Entebbe, upon arrival you will be transferred to the Airport for your departure flight.
Upon arrival in Zanzibar airport our private vehicle and drive will be waiting for you and your loved one, after clearing immigration you will drive to your exclusive resort for relaxation and overnight, a rare blend of beauty and history, Zanzibar is a jewel, framed by some of the finest beaches in the world. Swim, snorkel or snooze in the sun, as shoals of shimmering fish glitter above the coral reef and dolphin pods play in the waves.
Day 6: Full day relaxation on the white sandy beaches
On this day you will spend the day sunbathing in front of your private villa overlooking the Azzur blue waters of the Archipelago or in your private swimming pool with an ice cold drink as you take a deep relaxation with your loved one on a lifetime holiday at the coast.
Day 7: Full day relaxation on the white sandy beaches of Zanzibar
You will spend the walking along the white sandy beaches, sun bathing or swimming in the private pool in front of your luxury villa.
Day 8: Lazily Morning and afternoon visit to the prison island
After lazily morning breakfast and delicious lunch our guide will pick you up at 2:30pm for trip to Prison Island, this island is a home of giant tortoises. Flanged by an amazing beach of reef sanctuary, the island is ideal for swimming, snorkeling and beach relaxation return to stone town at 5:30pm for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Morning stone town tour and evening transfer to the airport for your flight
After breakfast, stone town tour takes around the historical culture and architectural important town of Zanzibar with a century history.
It includes a visit to former slave market site, now stands as Anglican church built in 1871, town market, visit the Zanzibar Memorial Museum, House of Wonder built in 1883 (Beit – Al-Ajab), old Arab Fort, Palace Museum, Old Indian Dispensary (cultural center) at 2:00pm transfer to North or East coast hotel via Maruhubi Palace ruins, Living Stone House and to the spice and botanical tour on this tour you will see and taste the tropical fruits, spices plantation.
After you will return to the lodge for refreshment and later you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.

Best time to trek Mountain gorillas in Uganda
Gorilla trekking is considered all year round adventure however the dry season from June to October and from December to February is still top as there is less rain and trekking tent to be easier with dry trails and July to October blends well with the sunny months of Zanzibar perfect for soaking in the sun.
