Suggested safari itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe

On arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be met by our professional drive guide and transferred to you overnight accommodations where you will be able to check in freshen up and relax after a long flight to the pearl of Africa, Uganda.  Overnight and dinner will be at your accommodation in Entebbe.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale national park

After an early breakfast, you will transfer by road to Kibale national park with a number stops to stretch and then a lunch break in town of fort portal. you will then after proceed to you accommodation driving through the forest where you may have chance to see some primates and forest birds before you check in to lodge. You will have the remaining hours of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight and dinner at you lodge.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale forest

Today after a very early morning breakfast, you’ll be escorted by your guide to the Uganda wildlife authority headquarters for your chimpanzee trekking experience. At the headquarters, you start by having a general briefing from the park authorities, a registration and after you will be allocated a forest guide for your excursion. this will take anywhere between 3 to 5 hours, on spotting them you will 1 hour of viewing, studying there behaviors and take pictures, returning to your accommodation in the afternoon for a hot lunch and then transfer to queen Elizabeth national park.  Overnight and dinner at your lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

after a very early morning breakfast and taking with you a packed lunch, you will head on to the wild savannas of queen Elizabeth national in the quest to look for the wildlife inhabiting this area, taking most of the morning hours with the chance to see the specials that this park offers such as tree climbing lions, leopards, elephants, uganda kob among others, you’ll after then transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park reaching your accommodation in the evening to check in. overnight and dinner at your lodge in Bwindi.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi forest

After an early breakfast your guide will escort you to the Uganda wildlife authority briefing area. Trekking briefing is at 8am at the headquarters; after you will be in the forest in search of the gorilla. Depending on the gorilla family you are allocated you will either entre the forest by foot, or you will drive a short distance by road to a convenient entry point. The gorilla trekking excursion can take anywhere from a few hours up to most of the day depending on the location of the gorilla. a packed lunch will be provided by the lodge. On returning from your trekking, you’ll be awarded by a gorilla trekking certificate indicating the family trekked with your name to prove that you successfully completed the trekking experience. Overnight and dinner at you lodge.

Note: you will be offered an option to hire a porter to help carry your daypack and assist you in the steep sections of the forest. These men and women are locals and are on an organized roster with a set fee of $15. By using this service, you help provide a reliable source of income to the community.

Day 6: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi

After an incredible experience with the Mountain gorillas you will then drive to Lake Bunyonyi arriving in time for Lunch and relaxation, later in the evening you will take a sundowner boat cruise on the Lake  with drinks.

Day 7: Drive to Lake Mburo national park

After Lazily breakfast you will drive to Lake Mburo national park for an evening game drive in the park, Lake Mburo is famous for large herds of zebras and impalas; you will also see giraffes, elands and other wildlife.

Day 8: Expore Lake Mburo national park

You will have a lazily day till evening when you will take a walking safari in the park with armed ranger who will lead you on safari to encounter wildlife on foot which is one of the best ways to experience an African wildlife safari.

Day 9: Transfer to Entebbe

After a leisurely breakfast, you will depart for return to Entebbe to catch your flight with lunch en route and stops to stretch and pictures opportunities at the Equator line in Kayabwe upon arrival in Entebbe you will be transferred to the Airport for your outbound flight.

When to book the safari Package

Due to the gorilla and Chimpanzee permits involved it’s better to book the safari 6 months in advance but Last minute inquiries can be made.

Best time for a safari in Uganda

The best time for a safari in Uganda is during the dry season which is from May to October and from December to February.
