Detailed safari itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi Kenya

On arrival in Jomo Kenyatta international airport, you will clear with immigration and our guide will receive you and transfer you to your booked lodge in Nairobi for overnight and safari briefing.

Day 2: Drive to Amboseli national park

After morning breakfast you will depart Nairobi for Amboseli national park, this park is one of the top places to visit while on your Kenya safari holiday, the dramatic views of Mount Kilimanjaro across the plains with the huge elephants is a dream of every traveller, on arrival you will check in to the lodge for relaxation and later head out for an evening game drive where you will expect to encounter wildlife like wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, Thomson’s gazelle and predators like leopard, cheetah and later return to the lodge for overnight.

Day 3: Drive to Lake Nakuru national park

After early morning coffee you will head out for your last game drive in the park and after return to the lodge for full breakfast and check out after you will then start your drive to Lake Nakuru national park home to flamingos and Black Rhinos on arrival you will check in to your lodge for short relaxation and after you will head out for evening game drive in the park.

Day 4: Drive to Masai Mara national reserve

After an early morning coffee you will head out for your last game drive in the park in search of Black and white rhinos thrive in the surrounding national park, which also has its fair share of Cape buffalo, African wild dog, zebra, eland, waterbuck and lion. In recent years Nakuru has attracted fame for the high number of leopard sightings, and the rare Rothschild’s giraffe after you will continue to Masai Mara national reserve on arrival you will check in to your lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 5: Full day game drives in Masai Mara national reserve

Day 6: Full day game drives in Masai Mara national reserve

During July and August, millions of animals leave the Serengeti and head into the Masai Mara around September. The crossing of the Mara River along the way is the most spectacular part of the migration during your drive you will follow the mega herds along the Mara River and if you’re lucky you will catch the River crossing Live.

Day 7: Full day game drives in Masai Mara national reserve

After morning breakfast you will continue your drive in the park following the wildebeest migration and also viewing the wildlife in the area, depending on the day you will return to the lodge early to dip in swimming pool as you enjoy sunset at your lodge.

Day 8: Flight from Masai Mara national reserve to Nairobi for your onward journey

After morning breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip by our guide for your domestic flight from Masai Mara to Nairobi on arrival you will be received and transferred to your day room in Nairobi and later transferred to the airport for your onward journey.

Best time to see wildebeest Migration in Masai Mara

we recommend planning your travel for mid -July as this is when the migration typically starts proper with the larger herds of wildebeest starting the move into Masai Mara. The migration takes place till end of August, before declining into mid-September.
