Safari itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kilimanjaro and transfer to Arusha for overnight

Upon arrival in Kilimanjaro national park in Tanzania, you will be received and transferred to Arusha, the 45-minute drive will take you to Arusha which is the tourism hub for northern Tanzania safari, upon arrival, you will check in to your lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 2: Flight from Arusha to Serengeti national park

After morning breakfast you will then transfer to the airstrip for your domestic flight from Arusha to Serengeti national park, this scenic flight will take you over the lush plains of the Mighty Serengeti national park depending on where you will land you may see the mega wildebeest herds, upon arrival at the airstrip in Serengeti you will be received by our guide and transfer to the lodge for check-in, relaxation and later in the day you will head out for a game drive to follow the wildebeest herds, depending on where you find them you may wait for any River crossings.

Day 3: Full day game drives in Serengeti national park to follow the wildebeest Migration herds

After morning breakfast with a picnic lunch and enough drinking water and snacks you will start your game drive slow as you will be looking out for wildlife like Lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and leopards among predators, you will also encounter wildlife like elephants, giraffes, Zebras, and abundant birdlife as you advance to the Mara River, upon locating the Mega wildebeest herds you will sit patiently as you wait for the River crossings to happen and later you will return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 4: Full day game drives in Serengeti national park to follow the wildebeest Migration herds

Yet another spectacular day in the Serengeti national park, you will start the day with morning breakfast and you take enough packed lunch and snacks, you will again take a slow game drive to search for wildlife you may have missed yesterday as you advance to the Mara River to patiently sit and wait for any River crossings to happens and later in the evening you will drive back to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 5: Full day game drives in Serengeti national park to follow the wildebeest Migration herds

After morning breakfast with packed lunch, enough drinking water, and snacks you will head into the Mighty Serengeti to follow the wildebeest Migration herds, this will be your last chance to witness the world’s greatest wildlife encounter, depending on what happens at the Mara River for the day you will meet up with the lodge staff and enjoy a beautiful sundowner in the wilderness and later return to the lodge for dinner and Overnight.

Day 6: Flight from Serengeti to Zanzibar

After morning breakfast you will bid farewell to the lodge and transfer to the airstrip for your flight from Serengeti to Zanzibar, upon arrival in Zanzibar you will be picked up by our guides and transfer to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 7: Full day relaxation in Zanzibar

You will have the full day at leisure but optional activities can be arranged by the hotel at an extra cost.

Day 8: Depart Zanzibar for your flight

Depending on your departure flight you will bid farewell to the lodge and transfer to the airport for your flight home.

Best time to witness wildebeest Migration in Serengeti

August is our peak season to witness the wildebeest Migration safari but you can still visit in October when the wildebeest are making their way to Serengeti from Masai Mara.
