SilverFish Lodge is situated in the Inhambane province in Mozambique. It is 450 km north of Maputo (the capital) and 700 odd km south of Beira. It is situated remotely on an Estuary, on the beach, with an always-open mouth to the bay and thereafter the open ocean. Even though it is remote, it is close to Inhambane airport, which is serviced daily with flights from Maputo, and Johannesburg, South Africa.
During your fishing safari you will expect to catch Pelagic species, including Black and Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Narrow Barred Mackerel (Cuta), GT’s, Trevally’s (also known as kingfish) Yellow Fin Tuna, other Tuna species, Sharks, Prodigal Son, Wahoo, Queen Mackerel, Queenfish, Jobfish, and Barracuda.

Detailed Safari itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Maputo and transfer to Inhambane for overnight
On arrival at Maputo international airport, you will be received by our representative and transferred to your next charter flight to Inhambane, on arrival you will be welcomed by our fishing guide and transferred to the lodge for relaxation and preparation for the fishing expedition.
Day 2 – 6: Full day deep sea fishing on the ocean
Mozambique is a tropical African country, which runs along the coast of the Indian Ocean. Due to the warm waters and abundant sea life, Mozambique has fast become one of the most remarkable destinations in the world for fishing activities. Day 7: Depart Inhambane for your onward journey
After morning breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight to Maputo, on arrival depending on your flight time you may transfer to a guest house or you will transfer for your next flight.

Best time for fishing in Mozambique
Big game and heavy tackle fishing are at their best in the months of September to April, but sailfish peaks in between May and September. Popping spinning, jigging and conventional light tackle game fishing for an array of species is excellent all year round.
