Detailed safari itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Nairobi to Amboseli national park

We pick you at the airport or your hotel in the morning hours and after tour briefing departs for Amboseli National park. Drive via Namanga at the Kenya – Tanzania border to Amboseli National Park to arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. We then proceed with afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Luxury Lodge.

Day 2: Full day game drives in Amboseli national park

0630 Hrs you will depart the lodge for an early morning game drive in the Park, 0830 Hrs. Return to your lodge for late breakfast. Later spend the rest of the morning at leisure. Enjoy Swimming at the lodge’s pool or go an optional Nature walk at a small fee. You will have lunch at lodge and later you will do an afternoon game drive till dusk. Amboseli National Park sits on the lower slopes of mighty Mount Kilimanjaro – Africa’s highest Mountain whose peak lies across the border in Tanzania. It is quite an experience to see Kilimanjaro hovering above the clouds in an early morning drive. Viewing the wild animals arising against the dramatic backdrop of the mountain will thrill the photography enthusiast. Amboseli National Park is renowned for its huge elephant herds. Other residents of the Amboseli National Park include: buffalo, black rhino, zebra, wildebeest and other plain animals.

Day 3: Drive from Amboseli national park to Lake Nakuru national park

Check out and drive to Lake Nakuru National park at 0700 Hrs. Enroute pick up your packed lunch and proceed to Lake Nakuru Simba lodge or similar for check in. We later and drive to Nakuru National Park for game drive. Lake Nakuru’s claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo’s and the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the Lake at times seeing millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species – particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents here. Later drive back to the Lodge for overnight.

Day 4: Drive from Lake Nakuru national park to Masai Mara national reserve

At 0800 Hrs Drive to via the Great Rift Valley to arrive at Masai Mara in time for lunch at the lodge. At 1530 Hrs you will head out for an afternoon game drive till dusk. Masai Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Some of the famous ones include: lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephants. It is in the Mara that perhaps has the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savannah- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures.

Day 5: Full day game drives in the Masai mara following the wildebeest Migration

After breakfast, check out with packed lunch for the great migration experience. Spend the all day at the at the Mara River watching the Wildebeest Migration. Returning to your lodge is late in the evening.

Day 6: Full day game drives in the park following the wildebeest Migration

We check out with packed lunch after breakfast and spend the day at the Mara River following the Wildebeest Migration. Thereafter you return to your lodge late in the evening for dinner and overnight at lodge.

Day 7: Drive from Masai Mara to Nairobi

We depart Masai Mara Game Reserve and drive to Nairobi City to arrive mid-day. Lunch will be provided at the carnivore restaurant before we transfer to your hotel or Airport for your flight back home.
