Detailed safari itinerary
Day 1: Drive from Entebbe to Lake Mburo national park
After morning breakfast you will depart Entebbe via the Equator line where you will stop for pictures and coffee after you will proceed to Lake Mburo national park arriving in time for lunch and after lunch you will have a short rest and later transfer to the park for a walking safari with an armed ranger and later return to the lodge for overnight.
Day 2: Drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park
After morning breakfast you will bid farewell to the lodge and drive through the park for an enroute game drive in search of more wildlife like zebras, impalas, eland and birds , this drive will take you through some of the most dramatic landscapes in Uganda, upon arrival at the lodge you will check in for relaxation dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi forest
A day full of expectations will start with early morning breakfast, after you will dress up in your trekking gear and drive to the park headquarters for a briefing, after the briefing you will then start your trek on foot in to the rain forest in search of the mountain gorillas, upon locating the mountain gorillas you will spend 1 hour with them and later return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.
Day 4: Drive to Kibale forest national park
After morning breakfast you will depart Bwindi impenetrable national park for Kibale forest national park enroute you will enjoy a boat cruise on Kazinga channel where you may see big herds of elephants, Hippos, crocodiles, Buffalos and abundant birdlife in the park after the cruise you will then depart for Kibale arriving later in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale forest
After morning breakfast you will be transferred to the park station in Kanyanchu for a briefing, after the briefing you will then start your trek in to the forest to trek the chimpanzees, this can take anything between 3-4 hours depending on fast you find the chimps and after locating the chimpanzees you will spend 1 hour with them and later return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.
Day 6: Drive to Entebbe via Mabamba swamp and later transfer to the airport for your flight
After an early morning breakfast you will depart for Mabamba swamp, Mabamba is located east of Entebbe; upon arrival you will take motorised canoes to the swamp in search of the endangered shoebill stork and other beautiful birds and after you will drive to Entebbe for short relaxation and refreshment and later transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
