Safari itinerary

Day 1: Take a city tour of Kigali in the morning and Transfer to Volcanoes national park Rwanda

After morning breakfast you will transfer to Kigali city for a city tour on the tour you expect to see the Kigali genocide memorial, the Belgian peace center, and after you will be taken to hotel Rwanda for lunch and after lunch, you will then drive to Volcanoes national park via Musanze, upon arrival in Musanze you will have a short tour of Musanze and later drive to volcanoes national park for a check-in, relaxation, and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience in Volcanoes national park

After early morning breakfast, you will transfer to Volcanoes national park headquarters for a briefing about the gorilla trek, after the briefing, you will then drive to the starting point or the trailhead to start your trek on foot in the forest, after locating the mountain gorillas you will then spend 1 hour with them and later you will return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 3: Golden Monkey trekking in Volcanoes national park

After morning breakfast you will again transfer to Volcanoes national park headquarters for a golden monkey trekking experience, after the briefing you will drive to the starting point for the trek, depending on how long it takes to find the golden monkeys you will then spend 1 hour with them and later return to the lodge if time allows you may drive to Musanze town to visit the Dian Fossey museum and Musanze market.

Day 4: Hike up to Mount Karisimbi Overnight in the volcano summit

After a superb experience with the primates, you will now pack up your hiking gear and overnight gear and drive to Kinigi park headquarters for your briefing by the rangers about Mount Karisimbi volcano hike, this hike takes about 2 days and you will spend a night in the summit, Mount Karisimbi has an extraordinary landscape, the hike will take you through the forest where you expect to encounter wildlife and birds upon arrival at the summit you will enjoy the breathtaking views and spend a night in the designated overnight site.

Day 5: Decent back and transfer to your lodge for relaxation

A memorable day you will start your hike back to the endpoint, this will be a bit easy and it will also take you through the incredible forest cover and you will also encounter birds and some wildlife, upon reaching the endpoint your guide will receive you and drive you to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 6: Lazily breakfast in the morning and transfer to Kigali for departure

After lazily morning Breakfast you will start your drive to Kigali, depending on your flight schedule you will then be transferred to the airport for your flight or if you’re staying overnight then you will be transferred to the Lodge for relaxation and overnight.
