Detailed safari itinerary
Day 1: Domestic Flight from Johannesburg to Sabi Sands
Depending on your flight schedule you will picked up from your lodge and transferred to Johannesburg International Airport for a 1 hour flight to Skukuza Airport in Sabi sands game reserve located in the Greater Kruger national park. On your arrival, you will be met and transferred to luxurious Sabi Sands Selati Camp in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, Later this afternoon your first exciting game drive in open safari vehicles is undertaken in search of the iconic animals of Africa.
At dusk sundowner are enjoyed in the bush, after which the drive continues, making use of spotlights to search for nocturnal inhabitants of the African bush.
Day 2: Full day game drives in Sabi Sands Game Reserve
Rise at dawn for early morning beverages and snacks before departing on your morning game drive. The Sabi Sands Reserve has one of the highest concentrations of predator felines in Africa, particularly leopard, but these magnificent cats are elusive so count yourself fortunate if you encounter one on your game drives. This is “Big 5” country (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino, and Buffalo), and the thrill of viewing these magnificent animals After you will return to the lodge for full breakfast and after embark on a guided bush walk with an armed ranger, who will identify foot prints and droppings and share with you some of the fascinating secrets of the bush, after you will return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation Later in the afternoon you will head out for yet another evening game drive in the park in search of wildlife you may have missed and later return to the lodge for dinner.
Day 3: Flight from Sabi sands to Cape Town
After morning breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Cape Town, on arrival at the airport, you will be met for your private guide and transfer to your Hotel located in one of Cape for relaxation and overnight.
Day 4: Cape Peninsula Tour
After you have enjoyed breakfast, you will be picked up around 09h00 for a spectacular Peninsula tour. This scenic drive around the Cape Peninsula showcases the beautiful sights and sounds of one of the most beautiful cities in the world, visit Cape Point/Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, experience the natural fauna & Flora of the Cape and visit Boulders Beach where you can view the African Penguin. Return to your hotel in the afternoon, settle in and relax until you are ready to go and enjoy dinner at one of many of Cape Town’s restaurants.
Day 5: Visit Table Mountain and Cape Town City Tour
This is an exciting full day tour which includes the Table Mountain Cableway, the SA Museum and the Castle, the City and the District 6 Museum after you will return to your hotel in the afternoon, settle in and relax until you go for dinner.
Day 6: Flight from Cape Town to Johannesburg
Enjoy a tasty breakfast and relax until you transfer to Cape Town International airport from where you will take a domestic flight back to Johannesburg / OR Tambo International Airport upon arrival you will connect to your onward Journey.
