5 Days Uganda Gorilla & Chimpanzee Habituation Experience

Uganda is one of the few countries in the World gifted by primates, Uganda is home to a healthy population of Mountain gorillas and Chimpanzees that traverse the rainforests which are their natural habitat, gorilla trekking in Uganda can be done in two national parks of Bwindi impenetrable national park and Mgahinga gorilla national park and chimpanzee trekking Uganda can be done in four Major areas of Kibale forest national park, Kyambura gorge in Queen Elizabeth national park, Budongo forest in Murchison falls and Kalinzu forest reserve in the rift valley escarpments near queen Elizabeth national park.

Our 5 Days Uganda gorilla & chimpanzee habituation experience will give you an opportunity to fly to Bwindi and then take a road trip for the rest of the safari to Kibale through the vast plains of Kibale forest national park.

Suggested safari itinerary

Day 1: Flight from Entebbe to Bwindi impenetrable national park

After early morning breakfast, you will be picked up and transferred to Entebbe airport for your domestic flight to Kisoro airstrip upon arrival at Kisoro you will be received by our guide and transferred to the Lodge for check-in and relaxation and later in the evening, you may do optional activities at the Lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi impenetrable national park

After early morning breakfast you will be transferred to the starting point for gorilla habituation experience, the habituation experience starts at 7 am and you will start trekking the Mountain gorillas and after finding the gorillas you will view, observe, photograph, and film them for the next four hours as you will be following the Mountain Gorillas and later you will return to the Lodge for relaxation and Overnight.

Day 3: Drive to Kibale via Queen Elizabeth national park for a Boat cruise

After early morning breakfast, you will drive to the Northern part of Queen Elizabeth national park for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel, this boat cruise will give you opportunities to see wildlife like elephants, Hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife that come to breed and drink water after the boat cruise you will then drive to Kibale forest national park for an overnight.

Day 4: Chimpanzee habituation experience

After early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the park station in Kanyanchu where you will meet the rangers who will be taking you to the forest for the chimpanzee habituation experience, the habituation experience will take you about 4 hours as you will view, observe, photography and film the chimpanzees and after you will return to the Lodge for relaxation.

Day 5: Drive to Entebbe

After lazily breakfast depending on your flight schedule you will then start your drive back to Entebbe and upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be transferred to the airport for your outbound flight.

The best time to trek gorillas and chimpanzees in Uganda is usually at the end of the rainy season and at the end of the rain season from May to October and from December to February.
