Safari itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Volcanoes National Park

After morning breakfast you will do a short city tour after the tour you will drive to Musanze where you will visit the Diana Fossey Museum after the visit you will drive to Volcanoes national park to your booked accommodation for Check-in, Relaxation, and Overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience in Volcanoes National Park

This will be the highlight of your safari as you will be preparing  to come face to face with the Mountain gorillas, After morning breakfast your guide will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to Kinigi park headquarters where you will have a gorilla briefing and division of gorilla families after you will drive to your respective gorilla groups and start your trek into the thick forest in search of the Mountain gorillas after finding the gorillas you will spend one hour with gorillas and later return to the Lodge for relaxation.

Day 3: Golden Monkey trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Yet another great experience with the rear golden monkeys awaits you just like the mountain gorilla trekking you will transfer to the park headquarters in Kinigi where you will be briefed and split into the smaller groups and then drive to the starting point for golden monkey trekking after finding the golden Monkeys you will spend one hour with them and then later return to the Lodge for relaxation.

Day 4: Drive to Lake Kivu

After lazily breakfast you will start your drive to Lake Kivu which is one of the most beautiful Lakes in the Rift valley great lakes region bordering Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo upon arrival you will have lunch and relax in the evening you will enjoy a sunset boat cruise on the Lake with cold drinks as you will watch the local fishermen and the abundant birdlife on the shores of the Lake and later you will return to the Lodge.

Day 5: Drive to Kigali

Depending on your flight details its a 4-5 hours’ drive from Lake Kivu to Kigali so you may choose to have a lazy morning and later start your drive to Kigali to catch your outbound flight
