Suggested itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Lake Mburo NP and take an evening walking safari

After early morning breakfast, you will depart for Lake Mburo national park via the Equator where you will enjoy the water experiment and some coffee after you will proceed through the Lwera swamp where you will have climbs of birds and hoping to arrive in time for late lunch and relaxation after relaxation you will drive to the park to pick an armed ranger guide for your on foot wildlife viewing experience in Lake Mburo NP.

Day 2: Short Morning game drive en-route Bwindi impenetrable NP

After morning breakfast you will take a game drive through the park, the drive will be a short game drive in the park en route to Bwindi impenetrable national park, the drive to Bwindi is a scenic drive that you don’t want to miss as you will driving through hills and valleys upon arrival you will check in to your Lodge for relaxation before gorilla trekking experience the next day.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking Experience in Bwindi forest

This is one of the highlights of safari tour as you will be heading into one of Africa’s dense rainforests in the quest to encounter the Mountain gorillas, mountain gorillas live in the hills so expect to be fit in order to challenge the hills but all this can depend on the location of the Mountain gorillas, Our guide will pick you up from your Lodge and transfer you to the starting point for gorilla trekking briefing with our travelers, After the briefing, you will be divided into a group of 8 and you will immediately start your trek in the jungle upon finding the Mountain gorillas you will view them for 1 hour and later return to the lodge for relaxation

Day 4: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi for Leisure

After Lazily breakfast you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi for a boat cruise on one of Africa’s deepest Lakes, the drive will take you through eastern Bwindi where you have chances of spotting monkeys and beautiful birds and you will see one of the most beautiful and dramatic landscapes in Uganda as you will be at the highest peak in Bwindi impenetrable national park.

Day 5: Drive back to Entebbe or Kampala

After morning breakfast you will bid farewell to Lake Bunyonyi and drive to Kampala upon arrival in Entebbe our guide will transfer you to the international airport for your outbound flight.

When to book the safari package

It’s recommended to book this safari package 6 months in advance to allow us to secure gorilla permits in time but last-minute inquiries can be made through our office in Uganda.

Best time trek gorillas in Uganda

Gorilla trekking in Uganda is an all-year-round safari activity but the best time to trek the gorillas during the dry season is from June to October and from December to February and this is when there is less or no rainfall and the gorilla trekking trails are drier making hiking easier.
