Mgahinga gorilla national park is Uganda’s smallest but most diverse national park with two of the rear and endangered primate species, the forest is home to Mountain gorillas, Golden monkeys, and the Batwa pygmy’s that used to be the permanent residence in the area, the park sits between the volcanoes of Muhavura, Sabyinyo, and Gahinga that borders Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Kampala/ Entebbe and transfer to Mgahinga gorilla national park
Our guide will pick you up from the agreed location and time in the morning and you will start your drive southwest of Kampala to Bwindi forest passing through the Equator line and having lunch in Mbarara, the drive is scenic via Lake Mburo national park boundary where you may have chance to encounter wildlife on the road en route, the rolling hill of Kigezi, the superb views of the Volcanoes and upon arrival at the lodge you will check-in and have dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience in the rainforest
After beautiful morning breakfast, you will be picked up from the Lodge and transferred to the park station for a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers about what to expect on the trek, the trek usually takes 2-8 hours with 1 hour of viewing the Mountain gorillas included and after you will return back to the Lodge for relaxation.
Day 3: Explore Lake Mutanda
Day 4:Drive back to Entebbe/ Kampala
With great experience with the mountain gorillas, you will bid farewell to the Lodge and start your drive back to Entebbe/Kampala upon arrival you may be transferred to the airport for your flight or our guide will take you to your place of residence or hotel.
