3 Day Bwindi Gorilla Habituation Safari

Gorilla habituation safari is a new activity in Bwindi impenetrable national park where clients can actively participate in habituating wild gorillas together with tourists; this will require the clients to participate for 4 hours with the team of habituators from Uganda wildlife Authority.

Participants will spend four hours, they start counting from the time you find the gorilla nests on words until you find the actual gorillas; the experience is phenomenal when you find the gorillas immediately after the nests as this will give you enough time to study the gorilla behaviour and interact with the habituators however this is a very physical activity so those participating must ensure they are physical strong.

Detailed safari itinerary

Day1: Drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park

After morning breakfast at your lodge you will be picked up by our guide and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park, this drive will take you through the equator, the rolling hills of kigezi to the southern part of Bwindi forest, upon arrival you check in to your lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi forest

After early morning breakfast you will transfer to the starting point for your Mountain gorilla habituation, with packed lunch and enough drinking water you will start the hike with looking for where the mountain gorillas spend the night, after you will continue to follow the foot marks, fresh droppings and broken shrub, this will mark the start of your 4 hour experience, upon locating the mountain gorillas you will continue to follow them, view them, observe their behaviour for the rest of the hours, after you will return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 3: Drive back to Entebbe

After morning breakfast you will bid farewell to the lodge and start your drive to Entebbe, upon arrival you will transferred to your lodge or to the airport for your onward journey.
