Detailed safari itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and transfer to Guest house

Upon arrival in Entebbe international airport, our guide will receive you and transfer you to your booked guest house in Entebbe, depending on the time of arrival you may do some shopping and change money and maybe have a short tour of Entebbe

Day 2: Morning transfer to Jinja for rafting experience

After early morning breakfast you will start your drive to Jinja for rafting the rafting starts at 9 am so you will transfer straight to the starting point for the rafting adventure, this can take between 5-6 hours and later you will return to the lodge for relaxation and Overnight

Day 3: Drive to sipi falls for relaxation and overnight

After lazily morning breakfast you will start your drive to Sipi falls, this is a chain of Beautiful waterfalls located at the base of Mount Elgon, this drive is one of the most spectacular views and upon arrival at the lodge you will check in for relaxation and overnight

Day 4: Hiking to sipi falls in the morning and drive to Moroto in the Afternoon

After morning breakfast you will meet the local guides and start hiking to see the 3 waterfalls, this will give you an exceptional experience where you will walk through farmlands of coffee and other interesting community encounters and later you will return to the lodge for lunch and later start your drive to the base of Mount Moroto for overnight

Day 5: Morning visit to the museum and Moroto market and evening experience with Karamojong nomads in the Kraal

After lazily morning breakfast you will drive to Moroto museum with the local guides and experience some of the ancient geographical features of the area and later you will visit the Market and later return to the lodge for Lunch and relaxation, later in the evening you will drive to the Kraals to have one of the unique experiences with the Karamojong warriors and later return to the lodge for overnight

Day 6: Drive to Kidepo national park for game drives

After morning breakfast you will start your drive to one of the top wilderness parks in Uganda, Kidepo is one of the most spectacular national parks in Uganda offering great wildlife viewing and breath taking views of the rolling hills, this drive will take you through some unique landscapes and upon arrival in Kidepo you will check in to the lodge for relaxation and later you will do an evening game drive in the park in search of wildlife in the park

Day 7: Full day game drives in the park

On this day you will enjoy morning and evening game drives in the park, due to the nature of climate in the area it does get very hot in the middle of the day so you will take the afternoons at leisure, depending on your interests you will traverse the national park in search of wildlife and beautiful birds

Day 8: Full day game drives in the park

After classic safari experience in the park, you will continue game driving in the park in search of wildlife, this park is famous for lions that like to climb rocks and you will also see abundant buffalo population and other wildlife like Eland, elephants, Giraffes, Jackals, zebras and many other species can be seen in the park not forgetting the incredible birdlife

Day 9: Drive to Murchison falls for game drives

After morning breakfast you will start your drive to Murchison falls national park via Gulu, in this town you will have time to do some shopping and perhaps use the bank and later you will continue to your lodge with an enroute game drive in search of wildlife and birds

Day 10: Full day game drives in the park

After morning breakfast with packed lunch you will start your Full day game drive in the park, this park is one of the best national park for wildlife viewing, the Nile Delta is a great wildlife habitat famous for leopards, lions, elephants, Kob, Giraffes, heartbeest and superb birding watching, this day will give you longer time in the park and you will also enjoy picnic lunch under the umbrella acacia trees and later in the evening you will return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight

Day 11: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise

Yet another day in the park, you will wake up early for game drive in the park and later you will transfer to the peer for your boat cruise to the bottom of the falls, this cruise will provide you with great wildlife viewing some of the wildlife you expect to encounter include Crocodiles, Hippos, Elephants, Buffalo and abundant birdlife

Day 12: Drive to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino tracking experience

After morning breakfast you will drive to top of the falls for a short hike to see the falls from above and later you will continue to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino tracking in the evening, this is one of the greatest wildlife encounters as you will encounter the Rhino on foot and you will also see other wildlife in the park and spend the night in the sanctuary

Day 13: Drive to Kibale forest national park

After morning breakfast you will start your drive via Masindi and Hoima as you will drive through the dramatic landscapes to Kibale forest national park which is the primate capital of the world with stunning 13 primate species, chimpanzees being the dominant species and others include, red colobus, baboons, red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, potos and Galagos, upon arrival you will check in to the lodge for relaxation and overnight

Day 14: Chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale forest and primate walk in Bigodi wetlands

After morning breakfast you will transfer to Kibale forest park headquarters for a briefing by the ranger guides about chimpanzee trekking experience, they will take you through on what to expect on the trek, Do’s and Don’ts and later you will be split in to smaller groups and you will start your trek on foot, upon locating the chimpanzees you will spend 1 hour with the chimps and later return to the lodge for relaxation and later you will take a primate walk in the famous Bigodi swamps and later transfer to the lodge for relaxation and overnight

Day 15: Drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park

After morning breakfast you will start your long drive to Bwindi impenetrable national Park via Queen Elizabeth national park and the Kyambura escarpments, this scenic drive will also take you through the Kigezi highlands and upon arrival you will check in to the lodge for relaxation and overnight

Day 16: Gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi forest

Gorilla trekking experience is one of the greatest wildlife encounters you will expect on safari to Africa, coming face to face with the mountain gorillas is once in a lifetime safari experience, after early morning breakfast fully dressed in your trekking gear you will transfer to park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking with the park rangers, after briefing you will be split in to smaller groups and start your trek on foot and upon locating the mountain gorillas you will spend 1 hour with the gorillas and later return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight

Day 17: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation

After lazily morning breakfast you will start your drive to Uganda’s deepest and most beautiful lake, this will be a lazily day and later in the evening you will do a sunset boat cruise on the Lake, on this cruise you will expect to see local fishermen and beautiful birds and later you will return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight

Day 18: Drive to Volcanoes national park

After morning breakfast you will start your drive to Rwanda’s volcanoes national park located on the slopes of the famous Virunga volcanoes, this scenic drive will take you through the country of thousand hills upon arrival you will check in to the lodge for relaxation and overnight

Day 19: Golden monkey trekking experience in Volcanoes national park

After morning breakfast you will transfer to Kinigi park headquarters for a briefing about golden monkey trekking by the rangers, after you will drive to starting point for your trek on foot, upon locating the golden monkeys you will spend 1 hour with them and later return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight

Day 20: Drive to Nyungwe forest national park

After morning breakfast you will start your drive to Nyungwe forest national park via Gishwati mukura national park and the famous Kivu Belt this is one of the most scenic drives in Rwanda, this road will take you along the shores of Lake Kivu upon arrival you will check in to your lodge for overnight and relaxation

Day 21: Tropial waterfall walk in the park and Uwinka canopy walk

After morning breakfast you will head in to the forest for a tropical waterfall walk, this beautiful trail will give you an insider of the rain forest, enroute you will encounter birds and wildlife like duickers and you will have brief taking views of the tropical waterfalls and later you will return to the lodge for lunch and later drive to Uwinka for a canopy walk and later return to the lodge for relaxation

Day 22: Drive to Lake Kivu in Karongi

After lazily morning breakfast you will drive to Lake Kivu for relaxation and overnight

Day 23: Full day in Lake Kivu for relaxation

You will have the full day at leisure and later you will do a sunset boat cruise, this beautiful cruise will give you chance to see water birds and enjoy cold drinks and snacks on the beautiful Lake and later return to the lodge for relaxation

Day 24: Drive to Kigali for overnight

After lazily morning breakfast you will start your drive to Rwandan Capital Kigali for overnight

Day 25: Kigali city tour and transfer to the airport for your departure flight

After lazily breakfast you will transfer to Kigali city for a city tour, on this tour you will visit the Kigali genocide museum and the Belgian peace centre and after you will enjoy lunch at the famous Hotel Rwanda and later return to the lodge for relaxation and depending on your flight departure time you will be transferred to the airport for your flight
