Detailed safari itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kigali Rwanda to Bwindi forest in Uganda
After morning breakfast at your lodge in Kigali you may choose to do a short Kigali city tour and later start your drive to Uganda’s southern part of Rushaga via Kabale which is one of the tourism hubs in western uganda famous for Lake Bunyonyi which is one of the deepest lakes in Africa upon arrival at the Lodge you will check in to your booked Lodge for relaxation and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and transfer back to Kigali
After morning breakfast you will be transferred to the briefing point for gorilla briefing as you prepare for one of Africa’s greatest wildlife encounters in one of the greatest rainforests in East Africa, the thick forest cover and the steep hills and the deep valleys will give one of the lifetime trekking experiences and upon finding the Mountain gorillas you will view, photography and follow the gorillas for one hour and after you will return to the Lodge for quick refreshment and Later you will start your drive back to Kigali please note that gorilla trekking experience can take between 2-8 hours depending on the Location of the gorilla family.

When to book the tour package
It’s advisable to book the trip early enough like 3 Months in advance as gorilla permits can be limited during the summer holidays from June to February however last minute inquiries can be made through our safari specialists.
Best time to trek Mountain gorillas in Uganda
Gorilla trekking in Uganda is considered an all year safari activity but the question is always between the rain season and the dry season so if you’re looking for dry months then your chances are best between June –September and from December to February and if you’re looking for less crowded time of the year then you should consider months from October and November and from March to May.
