Detailed Itinerary for the 18 Days Discover Uganda safaris

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be received by our representative and transferred to the lodge for relaxation, and if time allows you will do some shopping and explore Entebbe town.

Day 2: Drive to Sipi falls

After morning breakfast you will drive to Sipi falls via Jinja the adventure capital of Uganda, Sipi falls is one of the best waterfalls located in eastern Uganda with the source from Mount Elgon national park.

Day 3: Explore Sipi Falls

After morning breakfast you will take a hiking trip to see all the waterfalls and the hike can take between 3-5 hours after you will return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 4: Drive to Kidepo national park

After early morning breakfast, you will start your drive to Kidepo valley national park via the vast plains of the Karamajong region which is one of Uganda top traditional heritage sites and the drive will be a long one upon arrival you will check in to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and Overnight.

Day 5: Explore Kidepo valley national park

After morning breakfast you will take a morning game drive in the park in search of lions that like to climb on the rock kopjes and other abundant wildlife like Buffalos, elands, giraffes, elephants, Kob, zebras and incredible bird life after you will return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation and later you take an evening game drive in the park.

Day 6: Explore Kidepo valley national park

Morning game drive in the park and later in the afternoon you will visit the Karamajong tribe that leaves near the park and participate in the cultural activities with the Karamajong people.

Day 7: Drive to Murchison falls national park

After the morning game drive, you will bid farewell to the lodge start your drive to Murchison falls national park which is one of Uganda’s top wildlife viewing destinations with a large population of elephants and giraffes, and Uganda Kob that traverses the savannah plains of the park.

Day 8: Explore Murchison falls national park

After early morning breakfast, you will take a long game drive in the park and later you will be transferred to the pier for a boat cruise to the bottom of Murchison falls where you expect to encounter wildlife like hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife along the banks of the mighty Nile River.

Day 9: Explore Murchison falls national park

After morning breakfast with packed lunch, you will be transferred to the peer for a delta boat cruise to the Nile delta where you expect to encounter wildlife like elephants, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, and the elusive shoebill stork can also be seen in the delta and later the boat will drop you off at the Nile delta where you will continue with game driving in the jeep till late.

Day 10: Drive to Kibale forest national park

After lazily breakfast you will start your drive to Kibale forest national park which is the primate capital of the world with stunning 13 species of primates that traverse the forest, the drive is also scenic and you will see a lot of rural Uganda upon arrival you will check-in at the lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 11: Am chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Mweya

After morning breakfast you are transferred to the park for chimpanzee trekking which a 3-4 is trekking activity depending on when you find the chimpanzees after you will return to the lodge for refreshment and later you will drive to the Mweya sector of Queen Elizabeth national park.

Day 12: Boat cruise and transfer to Ishasha sector

You will have lazily morning and at 11 am take a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel after you will drive to the southern part of Queen Elizabeth national park which is famous for tree-climbing lions, hyenas, and Topi antelope that traverse the plains of the savannah.

Day 13: Drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park

You will wake up very early for a morning game drive and later return to the lodge for full breakfast and later take a mid-morning game drive before returning to the lodge for lunch after lunch you will drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park.

Day 14: Gorilla trekking Experience in Bwindi forest

After morning breakfast you will be transferred to the park for a gorilla briefing and after you will be split into smaller groups of 8 people and you will head off to the forest to trek the mountain gorillas on foot after finding the gorillas you will spend one hour with the gorillas and gorillas trekking usually takes between 2-8 hours depending on where you find the gorillas.

Day 15: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi

After lazily breakfast you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi for leisure and relaxation, Lake Bunyonyi is the deepest lake in Uganda and it’s a volcanic lake and it’s one of the best places to relax after the gorilla trekking experience.

Day 16: Drive to Lake Mburo national park

After Lazily breakfast you will drive to Lake Mburo national park for walking safaris and game drives, Lake Mburo is considered to be one of the best places in Uganda for walking safaris and horse riding safaris upon arrival you will take an evening game drive in the park.

Day 17: Explore Lake Mburo national park

After early morning breakfast, you will go on a walking safari in the park, the walk is accompanied by Uganda park rangers that are armed with the famous AK 47 and you expect to encounter wildlife like buffalo, Giraffes, Impalas, waterbucks, elands, Warthogs on foot and after you will return to the lodge for relaxation and free evening.

Day 18: Drive back to Entebbe

Depending on your flight schedule you will start your drive back to Entebbe via the Equator line for pictures and souvenir shopping and after you will transfer to Entebbe for your outbound flight.

0ver one year in advance for proper planning but last-minute inquiries can be made however bear in mind gorilla and chimpanzee permits sell out quickly.
