Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Upon arrival in Volcanoes national park, you will be picked up by our guide and transfer to the lodge for overnight.

Day 2: Full day Kigali city tour
After breakfast, drive to the southern part of Kigali and visit Nyamata and Ntarama churches which are sites of some of the most brutal killings during the 1994 genocide. These churches are two of the most powerful and shocking memorials, having on display the bones, skulls, and bloodied clothes of those savagely murdered, after the visit, drive back to Kigali town and visit Kigali Museum called Kandt house to get more history about Rwanda, after noontime, drive to Kanombe and visit the presidential palace to learn more how the former president Habyarimana was shot and died on 6th April 1994 at 8.30 pm Kigali time, spend the rest of the day doing Kigali city tour with the visit of hotel Mil Collins called hotel Rwanda(genocide history.

Day 3: Drive to Volcanoes national park
After warm greetings and briefing, drive to the Northern part of Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park precisely at Burera with a stopover at Musanze to visit the Diana Fossey museum, Kinigi where we are going to visit Iby’wacu Cultural Center for experiencing the culture of Rwanda including traditional dancers, the sample of the former king palace, former hunter, traditional medicines and so much more.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking Experience
After early morning breakfast, with your packed lunch, drive to Kinigi at the Volcanoes national park office for registration and briefing then enter the park and experience the mountain Gorillas trek, after the trek, drive back to the lodge and relax at the hotel while enjoying the panoramic view of Burera Lake, overnight at Virunga lodge.

Day 5: Drive to Kibuye beach
After a very early breakfast, drive to Kibuye via Ngorerero, arrive at lunchtime, check in the room and take your lunch then afternoon time, enjoy the boat ride on Lake Kivu while visiting Napoleon and Amahoro islands, evening time, visit the genocide catholic church and the city tour.

Day 6: Drive Nyungwe Forest National Park
After early morning breakfast, drive to the western part of Rwanda precisely in Nyungwe Forest National Park via Nyamagabe, arrive before lunchtime, check in the room and take your lunch and prepare for the chimpanzee trekking experience.

Day 7: Chimpanzee trekking and Canopy walk
Very early morning, drive into the park and experience Chimps trek, after the trek, return to the hotel for lunch, after noontime, drive into the park again and experience the Canopy walk.

Day 8: Drive from Nyungwe Forest National Park to Kigali
After early morning breakfast, drive to Kigali via Butare where we are going to visit the Ethnographic Museum and King’s palace Nyanza, arrive in Kigali in time for overnight.

Day 9: Drive from Kigali to Akagera National Park
After breakfast, drive to the Eastern part of Rwanda precisely in Akagera National park via Kabarondo, enjoy the afternoon boat ride on Ihema Lake while looking for different water birds, hypos, crocodiles, and so on, have an evening game drive in the southern sector searching for different mammals and more wildlife in this park.

Day 10: Game drive and Boat ride
After early morning breakfast, with your packed lunch, enjoy the full day game drive starting from the Southern part to the Northern part while searching for different mammals such as Elephants, Giraffes, Lions, Zebras, Buffaloes, water hogs, Rhinos, different birds species, and more wildlife, later afternoon time take a boat ride on Lake Ihema in search of more wildlife.
