10 Days Uganda Gorillas and Chimpanzee Habituation Safari

Suggested safari itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Murchison falls national park

After early morning breakfast you will depart Entebbe via Kampala and start driving North West towards Ziwa Rhino sanctuary where you will trek the Rhinos on foot after you will have Lunch after Lunch you will then drive to the top of the falls for a short hiking tour before driving to the Lodge for check in and Overnight.

Day 2: Game drive and Boat cruise on the Nile

After early morning breakfast with packed Lunch you start a game drive in the Northern banks of the Nile where you expect to see large herds of Kob, Buffalo, Giraffes, elephants, and predators like Lions, leopards and hyenas can also be seen in the plains of Murchison falls after you will then take an afternoon boat cruise to the falls where you expect to see crocodiles and Hippos and other wildlife on the banks of the Nile.

Day 3: Drive to Kibale national park

After a short game drive early morning you will depart Murchison falls for Kibale forest through the Albertine rift valley where you will have some spectacular views of Lake Albert and the Blue Mountains in DR Congo as you head to the primate capital of the World in Kibale where you can see stunning 13 different species of primates in the forest.

Day 4: Chimpanzee habituation Experience in Kibale forest

After early morning breakfast you will drive to Kanyanchu park station where you will meet the chimpanzee researchers and start your trek in to the forest to located the wild chimpanzees after finding the chimpanzees you will spend 4 hours with the chimpanzees after which you will return to Lodge for Relaxation.

Day 5: Drive to Queen Elizabeth national park for Boat cruise

After morning breakfast you will drive to Queen Elizabeth national park for a boat cruise on Kazinga channel where you expect to see crocodiles, elephants, buffalos and abundant birdlife on the channel after the boat cruises you will do a short game drive in the Kasenyi plains in evening if time allows.

Day 6: Drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park

After lazily breakfast you will transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park national park south western Uganda where you will prepare to encounter Mountain gorillas in Southern Bwindi where the gorilla habituation experience takes place.

Day 7: Gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi forest

After perfect night full of emotions you will drive to the park headquarters where you will meet with the gorilla researchers and head in to the forest early morning to start searching for the Wild mountain gorillas undergoing habituation after locating the gorillas you will spend 4 hours following the gorilla family as you view different gorilla behaviours and share a lot if information with the researchers.

Day 8: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi for Relaxation

After lazily breakfast you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi arriving in time for Lunch and relaxation after relaxing you does an evening sunset boat cruise on the historical Lake Bunyonyi as you will see the birds, Local fishermen and other wildlife like Otters.

Day 9: Drive to Lake Mburo for walking safari

After morning breakfast you will drive to Lake Mburo national park arriving in time for lunch and relaxation after resting you will do an evening walking safari in the park where you will encounter wildlife like Giraffes, Zebras, impalas, Buffalos on foot with an armed ranger from Uganda wildlife authority.

Day 10: Drive to Entebbe

After morning breakfast you will start your drive to Entebbe via Equator where you will have chance to visit the Equator line , do some shopping for souvenirs and later continue to Entebbe upon arrival you will be transferred to airport for your out bound flight.
