10 Days Niger Annual Festival Safari
The Cure Salee is also known as the Festival for Nomads which is an annual gathering of the Wodaabe and Tuareg people found in Ingall a town in the northern part of Niger. This ceremony is conducted in the last two weeks of August.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Niamey You are met upon arrival and transferred to the hotel by the team, Tour orientation. Stay overnight in Niamey and all the day is at leisure in your hotel. Meals included:

Day 2: City Tour of Niamey Boat ride along the river to visit Hippos and villages at the Riverbank. City tour of Niamey, including the National Museum, the large city market, and the artisans’ village of Wadata Meals included.

Day 3: Niamey – Tahoka (580 KM) This morning you drive southward crossing a land mostly inhabited by Haussa farmers. Sightseeing en route to Tahoua visiting Haoussa villages to admire the mud architecture very famous and interesting. A visit to the villages of Songhai, Djerma, and Fula peoples. If possible, stopping in Dogondoutchi on the way. Time permitting visit the mosque in Tahoua.

Day 4: Tahoua – Inghal (350 km) We continue our journey to the east via Abalak on the way. After breakfast drive to Abalak visit point of interest and continue to Inghal for the Cure Salee festival activities.

Day 5: Or if you are opting for the Gerewol festival (not both at the same time, to be decided much time in advance which of the festival you will be participating in) The Gerewol Festival is an annual courtship ritual competition among the Wodaabé Fula people. Young men dressed in elaborate ornamentation and made up in traditional face painting gather in lines to dance and sing, vying for the attention of marriageable young women. Meet with Woodabé families and at the festival, spend time with them, and back to Abalak at your convenient time. Proud of their beauty and freedom, Bororo (woodabé)people do not like the cities and the sedentary life and prefer following their herds looking for fertile pastures.
Agadez After festival activities, we depart to Agadez. Time permitting start with the Agadez City tour. Meals included: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner Hotel de la Paix.

Day 6: Agadez City tour along Agadez (the city is in the list of World Heritage of UNESCO). A visit to the Grand Mosque of Agadez and Fachi settlement. A visit to the Sultan’s Palace, built in the XIX century. A visit to the residence of Heinrich Barth.

Day 7: Agadez – Zinder (446 km) early departure to Zinder. (Agadez – Zinder – 446 km, 9 h) with stops along the route. Arrive around 16:00 go to see the Sultanat.

Day 8: Zinder City tour along Zinder. A visit to the big market. A visit to the Art Center, located in the south-east of the city. Meals included:

Day 9: Zinder – via Maradi – Birni-N’Konni (480 km) Leave Zinder and make a stop in Maradi on the way. A visit to Dan Kasswa mosque. A visit to a Center for traditional crafts and a big market. A visit to the sacred lake Madarounfa. Continue to Birni-N’Konni. Meals included: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Day 10: Birni-N’Konni – Niamey – (420 km) A visit to the Sultan’s Palase in Doso. Giraffe safari. Rest at a hotel in Niamey. Be transferred to the airport enough in time. Meals included: breakfast Grand Hotel 12 Niamey – Departure – Flight departure from Niamey
