Safari Overview

1 Day Bujumbura City Tour is a classic safari for clients that may have limited time but they want to discover the wonders of Burundi’s main capital Bujumbura.

Your safari will take you to see the City Museum which has wildlife being protected for educational purposes before proceeding to Stanley monument after you break up for local Lunch and in the afternoon you will visit the Rusizi national park for a boat cruise for taking the evening easy at the shores of Lake Tanganyika with an ice-cold beer as you enjoy the sunset.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Travellers arrive in Bujumbura or you are already in Bujumbura

Clients make their way in the main capital Bujumbura where the tour starts from and on the evening before the day of safari as complementary to our clients Our Guide will come and meet you and brief you on what to expect tomorrow on the safari.

Day 2: The action-packed day of Adventure in Bujumbura

After morning breakfast at your hotel, our guide will pick you up and transfer you to the city Museum where you will see animals in the Zoo that is being used as an educational center for the people and the students of Burundi as one way of educating locals about conservation.

After you then drive to the historic site where Livingstone -Stanley spend the night and you will learn about the history of explorers in Burundi and after your transfer back to Bujumbura for lunch.

After Lunch, you will drive to Rusizi national park where you will take a boat trip on Rusizi delta where you will see hippopotamus and birds and enjoy the Landscape of the river and Lake Tanganyika.

After the adventurers’ day, our guide will take you to one of the best beach restaurants on the shores of Lake Tanganyika where you will enjoy an ice-cold drink as you watch the sunset.
