The Bwindi lodge is located just before the park gate of the Buhoma gorilla trekking sector, the lodge is located in the midst of a forest developed by the lodge giving you that perfect feel of being in a rainforest.

How to get to Bwindi lodge

The Bwindi lodge can be accessed in two ways by road or by air from Entebbe or Kampala or even nearby national parks like Queen Elizabeth national park and Kibale forest national park.

• By Road

The lodge is a 9-10 hours drive from Entebbe or Kampala via Mbarara-Ntungamo-Rukungiri road or a 3-hour drive from southern Queen Elizabeth national park’s southern sector famous for tree climbing lions and fantastic wildlife viewing.

• By Air

Aerolink Uganda operates scheduled or charted flights in the morning and afternoon to Kihihi airstrip which is a 2-hour drive to the Buhoma gorilla trekking region of Bwindi forest where the lodge is located.
