Bakiga lodge is an eco-lodge-friendly lodge situated in the Ruhija gorilla trekking sector of Bwindi impenetrable national park, just a 10 minutes drive from the Ruhija Gorilla Tracking meeting point.

The Lodge offers 10 spacious cabins, all self-contained with ensuite bathrooms; all cabins have private balconies with spectacular views of the forest with WIFI internet available at the lodge.

Bakiga lodge is located in Ruhija town in the Eastern part of Bwindi impenetrable national park, the lodge is just 10 minutes drive to the park office where gorilla trekking starts from.

How to get to Bakiga lodge

The easiest access point to Bakiga lodge is via Kabale town which can be accessed from Kampala or the Rwandan capital Kigali, currently, there are no flights to this area and clients will need to access the lodge in a 4×4 safari vehicle. Those on our regular budget gorilla trekking tours will access the lodge from either Queen Elizabeth national park or Lake Mburo national park respectively; from Kabale, the lodge is 2.5 hour’s drive while from Queen Elizabeth the lodge is 3.5 hours drive.
