Chimwenya Game Park spans a total of 500 acres and is home to an impressive array of wildlife in one of the last remaining indigenous forests and grasslands of the Shire Highlands of Southern Malawi.

You may see giraffe, eland, zebra, waterbuck, duiker, blue wildebeest, sable, nyala, impala, and jackal roaming the terrain on your visit.

The capacity of Game Haven Lodge

The family-owned Lodge has a variety of 25 rooms and 3 self-catering guest houses. A beautiful Golf course has been open for seven years and features stunning views of the natural landscape with the ten different species of animals wandering through the private Chimwenya Game Park.

Game Haven Lodge is a beautiful development at Chimwenya Private Game Park, Bvumbwe on Thyolo road, and 25 km from Blantyre Malawi’s commercial capital creating a fascinating paradise for multiple leisure activities whilst conserving Malawi wildlife. The Lodge is beautifully designed and built with a golden-colored rock found on the estate.

How to get to Game Haven Lodge

Depending on where you will be, from the main capital, Lilongwe travelers can take the 2-hour flight or 5-6 hours drive in a  private car to Blantyre, and then from there, the lodge is about 25 km on the Thyolo road which can take 30-45 minutes through a scenic landscape of this beautiful country.
