The Simien Mountains National Park in Northern Ethiopia is an exotic setting with unique wildlife and breath-taking views on a landscape shaped by nature and traditional agriculture. Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa Ethiopia
Upon arrival in Addis Ababa you will be received by our representative and transfer to the lodge for relaxation, safari briefing and overnight.

Day 2: Fly to Simien mountains National Park
You will transfer to the Airport for your flight to Gonder airport which is about 160 kms to Siemen Mountains upon arrival you will be received and transferred to the lodge.
A scenic drive east from Gondar will bring you into the Simien Mountains, where millions of years of erosion have carved dramatic pinnacles, tiered mountainsides and dizzying ravines.
This high up, the views stretch for hundreds of kilometres in either direction or the treks and guided walks (whilst not for the faint-hearted) are mind-bogglingly brilliant. When you’re not gazing at the scenery, keep a look out for the walia ibex (a wild goat), the very rare Abyssinian wolf and plenty of shrieking Gelada monkeys, all endemic to Ethiopia.
Take a magic-carpet ride, and come to Limalimo Lodge, one of Ethiopia’s newest, most chic retreats. Enjoy easy access to the Simien Mountains, and wallow in the dramatic views. The jagged peaks and deep canyons offer great hiking, and the plateaus are home to an assortment of endemic animals. This lodge combines simple luxury with a healthy community-development programme.

Day 3: Explore Simien Mountains National Park
After morning breakfast you take a hike in search of the abundant endemic species of wildlife The Park is populated with over 130 bird species and over 20 large mammal species such as gelada baboon, Ethiopian wolf, Walia ibex, wild mountain goats and the Anubis baboon. Later return to the lodge for leisure and relaxation.

Day 4: Explore Simien Mountains National Park
Embark on a forest walk in the morning with expert guides where you will search for birds, primates and interesting bio-diversity the national park has to offer and later return to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 5: Back to Addis Ababa
Travel back to Gondar for a flight to Addis Ababa Explore the city. Ethiopia’s capital city is more than a mere stopover for travellers en route to the country’s ruins and spectacular mountains. It’s a sweet muddle of what makes this country so fascinating: ancient history and religion, a distinct ethnic and international flair. Take in the amazing jazz scene, spilling out of trendy cafes and bars that also serve some of the best coffee in the world; or the hidden boutiques where you can shop for traditional shawls and baskets; and then there’s the National Museum, home to 3.2 million-year-old ‘Lucy’ and a melee of other treasures and later transfer to the Airport for your on word flight.

Best Time to Travel
The best time to visit the Simien Mountains is between October and March, with the clearest skies and warmest weather.
December, January, and February is the peak travel season. During these months, you have the best weather conditions, but the campsites could be busy and the lodges will be booked well in advance.
