Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali Rwanda
Upon arrival in Rwandan capital Kigali you will be meet by our representative and transfer to the hotel for overnight.

Day 2: Drive from Kigali (Rwanda) to Virunga national park (DR Congo)
After morning breakfast and briefing, you will drive to DR Congo precisely Goma town with a stopover at Gisenyi where we are going to visit hot springs and relax a bit at Gisenyi palm beach, arrive in Goma, have the afternoon Goma city tour.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking experience
After early morning breakfast you will transfer to Virunga national park headquarters for gorilla trekking experience, the experience usually takes 2-6 hours.

Day 4: Drive to Goma and transfer TChegera Island for leisure
After morning breakfast you will drive to Goma where you will take the boat to the TChegera Island for relaxation.

Day 5: TChegera– Masisi – TChegera
After an early morning breakfast, take boat back to Goma; with your packed lunch, drive to the magnificent region of Masisi precisely at Mushaki via Sake through different villages, stopover at Muranga escarpment where we are going to see the place where Nyamulagira volcano divided the lake into two parts in 1938, arrive at Mushaki, spend the day in this region of splendid landscapes and magnificent views. Take a stroll; visit some villages around the farm, visit some local people with their activities, visit a delicious cheese production site then have the horse riding with a trained horseman, later afternoon, drive back to Goma and transfer to Tchegera island.
Day 6: TChegera-Goma
After an early morning breakfast, spend whole before noon time doing Goma city tour including the visit to 2002 lava rock and various buildings half-buried by lava, a visit to the Goma Vulcanological Observatory; have a ride on the ubiquitous chukudu, a local kick-scooter used for transporting goods unique to this part of the world then drive to the border and enter Rwanda, after immigration formalities; proceed with the drive back to Kigali airport; end of trip.

Day 6: Goma – Kigali
After morning breakfast you will cross the border at Goma and drive to Kigali for your out bound flight.

Additional accommodation can be arranged for an extra cost.
What’s included?
Virunga tourist visa, transportation (a vehicle, driver, a pirogue to and from TChegera, fuel, and road government taxes), accommodations as described in the program, permits and entry fees in different visit areas, a meal in Virunga National park, drinking water, and an English speaking guide.
What’s excluded?
Not included your Rwandan visa,, medical service, individual insurance, tips, a meal outside Virunga National Park, other drinks, and everything not listed in the program.
