Day 1: Arrival in Bujumbura
Upon arrival in Bujumbura, our expert guide will pick you up and transfer to your hotel for relaxation and overnight
Lunch: Not Applicable
Overnight: Hotel du lac Tanganyika.
Activities: Not Applicable
Day 2: Drive from Bujumbura to Karera falls
After breakfast at 7:00 A.M, transfer to Rutana to see the amazing Karera waterfalls and the source of Nile in Rutovu. Visit Gitega national museum a collection of artifacts and antiquities from Burundi and Gishora drum sanctuary before transfer to Bujumbura.
Lunch: Packed Lunch
Overnight: Hotel du lac Tanganyika.
Activities: Karera falls, source of the Nile Burundi, Gitega, and Gishora drum sanctuary.
Day 3: Full day Rusizi and Bujumbura city tour
After breakfast, pick up at the hotel and go for a city tour in Bujumbura including:
- Visiting Rusizi National Park where a boat trip is possible to let you explore closer the hippos and birds in Rusizi River.
- Albert’s crocodiles.
- Islam Culture Centre.
- Visit ARFIC, the coffee processing factory in Bujumbura. Coffee and tea are the main export products and sources of income for Burundi.
Lunch: Local lunch.
Overnight: Own arrangement (can be arranged upon request)
Activity: Rusizi boat safari, Bujumbura city tour.
