Detailed safari itinerary

Day 1: Flight from Entebbe to Mgahinga gorilla national park

After an early morning breakfast you will be received and transferred to Entebbe airport for your domestic flight to Kisoro airstrip upon arrival in Kisoro you will be received and transferred to the Lodge and relaxation and after leisure you will drive to Lake Mutanda for a sunset boat cruise where you expect to see local fishermen and lots of birds and later drive back to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking Experience in Mgahinga gorilla national park

After morning breakfast you will drive to the starting point for gorilla trekking experience, upon arrival you will be meet by the rangers for a gorilla briefing after the briefing you will be split in to gorilla families and start the trek, after locating the mountain gorillas you will then spend one hour with the Mountain gorillas in their natural habitat after you will return to the Lodge and if time allows you will visit the Batwa community around the park.

Day 3: Drive to Lake Mburo national park

After fantastic gorilla trekking experience you will drive to Lake Mburo national park arriving in time for Lunch after you will have an evening game drive in the park in search of wildlife like Zebras, Buffalo, Hippos , Impala, Eland ,Warthog, Giraffes.

Day 4: Explore Lake Mburo national park

After morning breakfast you will do walking safari in the park with an armed rangers to experience the wildlife on foot, this is one of the best ways to encounter African wildlife, the walk will also give you opportunity to see foot prints and get closure to some wildlife and after the walk you will then return to the Lodge for relaxation for the rest of the day.

Day 5: Drive back to Entebbe

After morning breakfast depending on your schedule you will be transferred to Kisoro airstrip for your domestic flight to Entebbe upon arrival in Entebbe you will then be transferred to your day room in Entebbe for leisure and relaxation and later you will be transferred to the airport for your out bound Link.

Best time to travel

Best time for gorilla trekking in Uganda is from December to February and from May to October when there is less rainfall or no rainfall making the walking trails drier for hiking.
