7 Days Fly in Zimbabwe Wildlife and Victoria Falls

Zimbabwe lies on a high plateau, and its terrain consists primarily of grasslands bordered on the east by mountains. The north-eastern border of the country is marked by the mighty Zambezi River, along which is located the incomparable spectacle of Victoria Falls and the magnificent expanse of Lake Kariba.

The Zambezi has become one of the world’s best water adventure travel destinations, offering outstanding white-water rafting in the Zambezi Gorges below the falls as well as excellent canoeing and kayaking above them. Victoria Falls, the Smoke that Thunders, is one of the natural wonders of the world.

Your guide will meet you at the lodge reception at 0900hrs and take you to the main falls entry via the Big Tree for a 2-3 hour guided tour of the majestic Victoria Falls. With the expert knowledge of your guide you will go through all the viewpoints inside the rain-forest. The tour will end back at the entrance by 1200hrs. You can have lunch at the Rain-forest cafe (lunch is at clients own expense). Your guide will transfer you back to the lodge. This afternoon you have an option to choose one activity between an elephant back safari, a lion walk, or a 12/13 min helicopter flight over the falls. In the evening your guide will meet you at the lodge reception again at 1900hrs to take you for the Boma Dinner at the Boma Restaurant for an amazing African buffet dinner ending with interactive entertainment as you hit the African Jemba drums into the night. Your guide will be waiting to transfer you back to the lodge after the Boma Dinner.

Day 3: Drive from Victoria falls to Hwange National Park

Depart after breakfast and head from A ’Zambezi River Lodge to Hwange National Park arriving just in time for lunch. If lucky you will spot large herds of elephants at the lodge waterhole that always come for a lunch time drink. After lunch your lodge guide will take you on an afternoon game drive in this area in an open 4X4 game drive vehicle ending with a sundowner somewhere in the midst of the bush with the sounds of wildlife all around. Today you will spend the full day going on game drives into the Hwange National Park and also on the Khulu Ivory Lodge private concession.
